Pro.18v21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
How do you activate the power of your tongue? How do you make your words work for you? These are what we shall be talking about in this series of teachings. There is no doubt that there is awesome power in your tongue, as you can see in (Pro.18v21), but beyond this, you need to know how to put to work this power if you are going to profit from the power that is resident in your tongue. So how can you release the power that is in your tongue to work for you? You do this by:
PROVOKING THE POWER IN YOUR TONGUE:
1. Holding fast to your confession. What do I mean by this? It simply means not to change what you have said or saying, i.e., to keep saying the same thing. This is what biblical confession is all about. If you want your words to work for you then hold tight to your confession. Keep saying what you believe. Keep speaking your heart desires and expectations regardless of what the devil may be suggesting to you. I can guarantee you that you will win if you don’t give up on your confession (Mk.5v28).
2. Believing in your words. It’s not just enough to speak words, you need to believe that what you say will come to pass. You need to have faith in your words if your words will work for you. My dear reader, you need to start believing in your words, for it is believing in your words that causes the miracle to happen. Stop doubting your words but rather believe that something is happening whenever you speak. This is how to activate the power in your words. So what are you waiting for? Let today be the beginning of you believing in your words. I can see that something big is on your way as you exercise this kingdom authority in Jesus’ name (Lk.1v45).
3. Prophesying in your world or your life (Eze.37v4, 9). Yes, you need to know how to speak either by inspiration or intentionally into your life and circumstances for this is how to put to work the power in your tongue. You can do this either by speaking as you are moved by the Holy Spirit or by speaking God’s word into your life and situation. Whichever you choose, you will be releasing the power in your tongue. So, I urge you today to begin to speak about your desires and expectations. Speak faith and not doubt. Learn to make powerful declarations into your life. By this, you will be provoking the power that is in your mouth to work. My dear reader, it’s time to put this to the test. Start today, don’t delay by any means. Put your words to work and watch to see how the power of words will take you to new levels.

Prayer for Today: Holy Spirit, help me to make the needed adjustments in my life so that the power of words will begin to work in my life in Jesus’ name, amen.
CONFESSION: My words will work for me as I begin to take heed to the words of my mouth. As I exercise my faith and play my part in this process, I fully access the wonder-working power in my mouth. My mouth will no longer work against me but for me from henceforth. I am walking in the revelation of the power of my words. Glory be to Jesus, for my words are working effectively for me and others around me in Jesus’ name, amen.
