Acts 4 verse 33: ‘And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.’
I trust that you are enjoying our discussion on how to appropriate the great grace. God’s plan and purpose is for us to come into the fullness of this promise. So without much ado, we will be considering some other key principles today. Jn8v32.
HOW GRACE CAN ABOUND?
6. By growing in your capacity to work. Although the grace of God is a free gift (Eph2v8-9: 3v7), you still have a part to play i.e. by being diligent in the works of your hands. You frustrate or take God’s grace for granted, when you are lazy. Grace grows in your proportion to labour. Heb6v10: 1Cor15v10. Apostle Paul was a hardworker i.e.1cor3v6: Col1v29. Our Lord Jesus was also not a lazy person. i.e. Matt4v23: 9v23. So my dear friends, why would you not be diligent in the affairs of life?
If you will command his Grace in a great measure, you need to work in the following ways:
- Work Hard. There is no substitute for hardwork. Col1v29. So if I were you, I would embrace hardwork.
- Work Well. Put your heart and whole of yourself into your work. Ecle9v11; Pro22v29. By this I mean work with all your heart.
- Work Early. Be prompt to work. Don’t be a late comer. Gen39v11; Pro12v24. There is always a blessing for punctuality. So say no to laziness by all means.
- Work Longer. Persevere in your work. Work until the work is completed. 1Thess2v9; Pro10v4. Never abandon what you have started.
- Work Smartly. Engage better ways of getting more work done on time, leverage on the wisdom and insights that can help you to work better. Pro13v20. My dear reader, in this way you will be increasing your chances of multiplying grace. I pray that this will be your portion in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: By the wisdom and grace of God, I receive his help in growing in my capacity to work. From today I embrace the culture and discipline of work. Therefore, I say no to laziness. Diligence in all things is my new mantra and creed in Jesus name, amen.
