Joshua 1 verse 8: ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’
You are welcome back to our discussion on the different approach or styles to studying the Bible. I believe that you have been blessed so far by what I have shared with you. Today by his grace, we will proceed further by looking at other ways of studying your Bible. So if you are ready, off we go!
- Chapter Study. This type of study revolves around taking certain chapters of the Bible and studying them in details. For instance, you could study 1Corithians 12 (The Gifts of the Spirit) or Chapter 13 (Love). This certainly another interesting way of studying your Bible. I would encourage you to try this out and get the benefits of the blessing.
- Book Study. This type of study involves taking certain books of the bible and studying it in details. For example you could decide to study the following books of the Bible; Psalms, Proverbs, Romans, Ephesians, Colossians etc. These are just some examples by the way but Book study is certainly another way of making your Bible study come alive.
- Topical Study. This type of study involves studying some peculiar topics or themes in the Bible in details. Such kinds of topic can be: Grace, Redemption, Sanctification, Holiness, Mercy, Joy, Favour, Prayer, Fasting, etc. My dear friends, I am sure there are other topics in the Bible that you have been meaning to study. So the time is ripe for you to go on this journey. I guarantee you that your life will be greatly affected for good in Jesus name, amen.
- Place Study. This type of study is when you choose to study certain name(s) of place(s) in the Bible in details. For instance; Gilead (1Ki17v1)-Rugged; Gerar (Gen26v6)-Dry Valley; Bethel (Gen28v19)-House of God; Peniel (Gen32v30) – Face of God etc. My dear brothers and sisters, this type of Bible study also brings its own peculiar blessing. So why not give a try today?
- Partial or Complete Study. This type of study is when you decide to study parts or the whole of the Bible in details. Examples of this can be: Studying the Gospels (Mathew, Mark, Luke & John) The Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy), The New Testament, Old Testament or Entire Bible. These are just some examples to mention, you can actually go deeper.
- Group Study. This kind of study is when you choose to study the Bible in details with other groups of people. This could be your partner, family, staff or team etc. This can also be an interesting way of studying the Bible. Acts11v26.
