Genesis 37:5-11: “Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him even more. So he said to them, ‘Please hear this dream which I have dreamed; there we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf’. And his brothers said to him, ‘Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?’ So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, ‘Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me’. So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, ‘What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?’ And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.”
Your dreams are not just the basis for survival but also the basis for success in life. This is why it’s not only so important to have a dream or vision but also to believe in your dream. Joseph believed in the merit of his dreams, that’s why he spoke about it and held it so closely to his heart (Genesis 37:5, 9). Do you believe in your dreams? Do you believe in the future that you can see in the womb of your spirit? Believing in your dreams is one of the major keys to unlocking your destiny. Stop doubting your dreams otherwise, it might not see the light of day. I encourage you to believe in your dreams no matter how foolish or ridiculous they might look. Don’t allow anyone or anything to take away your dreams.
As you believe wholeheartedly in your dreams, don’t allow any of the following to kill them:
- Dream Haters. Beware of dream haters, don’t allow them to destroy your dreams.
- Dream Killers. Beware of dream killers, stay far away from people who can kill your dreams.
- Dream Stealers. Beware of dream stealers, don’t allow such kind of people to steal your dreams.
- Dream Discouragers. Say “no” to them and give a resounding “yes” to your dream encouragers.
- Dream Persecutors. No matter the level of persecution or trouble you face because of your dreams, never say never. Don’t surrender your dreams to them (Genesis 37:26-28).
Dearly beloved, hold tightly to your dreams by believing in the future of your dreams. You will get there if you faint not.

CONFESSION: I am a believer and not a doubter. I believe in my dreams. I believe that they shall come to pass. My dreams will not die or wither away. I believe my dreams will see the light of day. My dreams will come to pass. I am becoming who I was made to be. I am doing what I was designed to accomplish. I will get to my expected destination in life and I won’t be put to shame in Jesus’ name, Amen.
