Proverbs 16v7: “When a man’s ways please the Lord. He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

There are legitimate means or covenant ways of getting favour and this is going to be the focus of our discussion in this series of lessons. I will be sharing with you the Bible’s ways of obtaining favour. I mean how covenant people get favour. If we follow the footsteps of those who have obtained favour this way, we are bound to experience the same, for God is no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. God’s laws or principles work for whosoever works it. So if it worked for others, it would work for you because God is ever faithful (Rom.10v12). From our text scripture in (Pro.16v7), when your enemies become your well-wishers, it’s an indication of God’s favour. So what brings about this kind of favour? This and many more are some of the things we will be considering in this series of messages.

So what do I mean by Favour? The following are some of the definitions of what favour is:

– Unmerited Grace or Underserved Kindness. It’s God giving you what you don’t deserve (Gen.32v10).

– Assistance, Help, Support, Leniency or endorsement.

– Special liking, privilege, consideration, prominence or advantage.

– To be biased toward something or someone.

– To prefer something or someone above others (Esth.2v9).

– The good face of God.

– For you to be served first, even though it might not go around.

– Getting what others don’t get or receive readily.

– God’s Riches At Christ Expense.

These are just some of the dimensions of what the favour of God is all about and I believe this will become your experience from henceforth as you tap into how to provoke this favour. So get ready for God’s visitation!

I want you to understand some important truths about the Favour of God as this will help you position yourself properly for this Encounter.

2. Favour is a manifestation or indication of the blessing. By the blessing, I mean it’s one of the evidence or signs of a Blessed Person. So blessed people are Favoured People. Therefore, as a Blessed Person you are Highly favoured (Ps.5v12; Deut.33v23).

3. Favour can grow or be multiplied upon someone’s life. In fact, it’s God’s will for you to Grow in favour, so you need to begin to make room for such in your life from today (Lk.2v52; Acts 2v47).
