1 Thessalonians 5 verse 17:  ‘Pray without ceasing.’

I am sure you have heard about our text scripture (1 Thessalonians5verse17) which talks about praying without Ceasing. What does it really mean to pray without ceasing? To pray without ceasing means the following:

-To pray without omission. I.e. To pray without forgetting to pray.

-To pray uninterruptedly. Praying interruptedly means to pray without any pauses or interruptions. To pray in a manner that is not broken, discontinued, or hindered. So, in other words, God wants you to pray continuously, consistently, frequently, repeatedly, perpetually, constantly, or often. Luk18v1; Rom12v12. My dear friends what kind of testimony do you have concerning your prayer Life? Or do you even have a prayer life? I have discovered from experience that when it comes to our prayer life it’s either of the following:

-You are praying or have a prayer life.

-You are not praying or you don’t have a prayer life

-Or you are not praying like you ought to pray or you don’t have an effective prayer life.

As a believer, you ought to have a prayer life and in fact, it ought to be a strong and virile one for that matter. Otherwise, why would God say you need to pray without ceasing? I hope you know that God does his things with a reason or purpose. Pro16v4. If you ask me: I would say one major reason God wants you to pray without ceasing is because of the value, place, significance, and importance of your prayer life. He places a lot of significance on your prayer Life. Since he values prayer this much, you ought also to place such a value on praying too.

So it’s time for you to arise and build your prayer Life. Dan6v10; Acts2v42: 6v4. It’s time to pray without ceasing. It’s time to rise from your slumber and lukewarmness! It’s time to develop your prayer Life. The truth of the matter is that your prayer life can grow and develop if you give it a lot of attention and priority. This is one of the tasks that God wants to do through this teaching.

I pray that your season of visitation will begin today in Jesus’ name amen.
