Luke 2verse36-38 ‘V36-And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; V37-And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. V38-And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.’
What is commitment all about and why should you pay attention to this all-important quality of fulfilment and success? These are some of the answers that I intend to answer in this lesson today by his grace. Firstly, you need to understand that commitment is something that you can’t afford to do without because it’s so critical to your overall success and welfare. And lastly, commitment will make a lot of difference in your life and operations. So what is commitment?
It is:
-The state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity etc.
-Dedication or loyalty to a person or a cause.
-An engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.
-A pledge or obligation as to follow a certain cause of action. Lk19v18
-A promise to be loyal to someone or something.
-A promise to do or give something.
-Loving God with the whole of your being.Matt22v37
-Getting hold of something and never letting go.
These are just some of the definitions of what commitment represents and I pray that Jehovah will give you further understanding in Jesus name amen. So why is it important for you to pay attention to commitment?
You need to do so because:
-It will determine the kind of results that you will get. The Truth of the matter is that we all want our results to be better but this does not happen by magic or luck. It takes commitment for this to happen because it is commitment that makes things happen or work. No commitment simply means no results! Little commitment means little commitment! While great commitment means great results! This is how it works! Whatever you are not committed to won’t work! So how committed are you to your vision, dreams, goals and aspirations in life? This is what will determine your outcome at the end of the day! So it’s time to take your commitment more seriously! Neh6v15.
May God’s visitation come upon your commitment life in Jesus name amen.
