Romans12verse11 ‘Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the lord.’
Nobody wants to labor in vain and most certainly, no one wants to labor for another man to eat the fruits of their labor. Now, if this won’t be a reality, we need to do our work in the right manner. There are ways of serving God in a profitable manner and this has been the subject of our discussion in this series of teachings. Today by his grace, I will be sharing another important strategy in serving God so that you can prosper. I am sure you are ready for this, so off we go!
HOW TO PROSPER DOING GOD’S WORK
5. Serve God sincerely. This also means serving God truthfully or with the integrity of heart. You can deceive others but you can’t deceive God. Matt15v8-9.
My dearly beloved ones, how are you serving God? Are you serving him sincerely? God wants you to be sincere in your service to Him. Deut18v13. To understand what it means to serve God sincerely, I would like to break it down further for us.
-Serving God, not with hypocrisy or deceit.
-Serving God without pretense. Rom2v9
-Serving God, not with double standards. Jam1v8
-Serving God not with eyeservice or as men-pleasers. Gal1v10
-Serving God to the best of your ability.
-Serving God with a pure heart or mind. Matt5v8
-Serving God, not with a polluted mind.
These are just some of the other dimensions of what it means to serve God sincerely. Dear friends, this is the way God wants you to go about serving him if you will prosper doing his work. So it’s time to fully embrace this mindset with regard to your service. Let it be said of you that serving God sincerely is your mantra. I want you to know that when you serve like this, you cannot but prosper. I pray that this would be your testimony in Jesus name, amen.
