Ps.77v7-9: Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favourable no more? Has his mercy ceased forever? Has his promise failed forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
Dearly Beloved, I hope you are excited about this series of teachings because I am super excited about these messages myself and one of the simple reasons is because I know I have heard to deal with issues as this “when it seems that God is silent or far away”. Seeing these truths I have been sharing with you has been refreshing and liberational, and I strongly believe it will have the same effects or even great or impact on your life. So why does it look like God is far away? What are the other reasons for thinking like this? I believe you are ready for this, so without much ado, let’s examine these reasons.
REASONS WHY GOD SEEMS DISTANT:
- Because we are not seeing what God is doing. This is why it looks to us that nothing much is happening, but the truth of the matter is that God is working behind the scenes or stages of our lives. Precious child of God, God is working underground without you knowing. He is moving and working in your favour. You may not see or feel it, but God is working. You just need your eyes of faith to be opened or enlightened. So, therefore, never let the fact that you are not seeing what God is doing affect your expectations and hope. For surely there is a reward and posterity for you (Isa.37v31).
- Because there is an appointed time for your manifestation. The fact that it’s someone’s time now does not mean it’s your time. But the truth is that our time will come; you just have to wait for it. God makes everything beautiful in his time. The fact that it’s not happening for you now does not mean it won’t happen for you later. Wait for your appointed hour of visitation (Eccle.3v11). The reason it looks like God seems far at times is that we are comparing our own time with someone’s else time. Everybody has their time, and you need patience and wisdom in waiting for it. So my admonition to you today is to never allow anything or anyone to move you from your appointed hour of visitation. I guarantee you that your waiting shall not be in vain (Rom.8v28).
- Because you are passing through the wilderness period of your life. This is another reason why people think God is quiet or slow. The Wilderness period is at times of tasting, proofing, purging, transition etc., and everybody will pass through this phase. But the good thing is that you won’t be in the Wilderness forever. Joseph was in obscurity and captivity for thirteen years before he became the Prime Minister of Egypt. Your time of beautification and promotion, too, will come if you wait for it. So my dear reader, don’t allow what you are going through to affect where you are going to! You will get there in Jesus name, amen (Isa.48v10).
- Because you are not aware of the wonderful works that God wants to do in your life. This is why people complain or even murmur, thus thinking that God may have forgotten them. You see, before God showcases you to the world, he takes time to prepare you. You are being prepared now for something greater and better. So don’t allow your feelings to rob you of a glorious destiny. Therefore, it’s time to put your feelings where it truly belongs and its time for you to subdue every contrary thought. That moment begins for you from today in Jesus name, amen (Rom.8v18; 2Cor.4v17).

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I refuse to give in to every negative and contrary thought of the enemy concerning my tomorrow and destiny in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: My God is never too late, but he is always on time. My God never disappoints because he’s a promise keeper and will keep his covenant concerning my life and destiny. Delay is not the same thing as Denial. My waiting is not a waste of time and won’t be in vain. I know that God is working everything together for my good even when I don’t see it or get it. Therefore, I rest in his love and promise to me, from henceforth, I will not be moved or shaken because my moment of manifestation shall come.
