Heb.13v4: Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Pro.4v7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.

You are welcome back to our talk on marriage. Yes, we need to know what marriage is really all about if we are to truly experience marital bliss and joy. Today by His grace, I intend to share more insights on the concept of marriage. It’s important for you to really know what marriage is all about because God does not want you to remain in the dark and He also wants the best for you maritally. Without much ado, let’s take another look at what marriage is today!

Basic truths about marriage:

8. Marriage is between a man and a woman and not between a woman and a woman or a man and a man or even a man and women or a woman and men. This is one of the most important insights you need to have about marriage because we live in a world that is trying to redefine marriage. But according to God’s original intention, marriage is between a man and a woman. Any other deviation from this will be an exercise in futility. My dear reader, it’s time to do things right (Gen.2v24).

9. Marriage was designed by God to last and not to break up. As controversial as this may sound in our world today, God’s truth never changes. God’s intention was for marriage to last for a lifetime. Divorce and separation is not God’s first choice. If you notice, I said not God’s first choice. So, why has it become the norm in our days? The remedy is to return back to God’s ways of doing things (Mal.2v14-16). I know that God is a restorer and the Great Physician for everyone who has experienced the pain and agony of a broken marriage. May God’s healing balm make you whole completely.

Precious child of God, if you are ready to walk with God, your marriage can stand the test of time. It’s possible to enjoy your marriage and not endure it when we work in God’s principles and ways. May this word usher you into a new season of change and revival in your marital life.
