Psalm 34:1-2: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad
Blessings in the precious name of Jesus, Amen. I believe you have been enjoying this series on how to praise the Lord. From the example of King David in Psalm 34:1-2, It’s very clear that God wants to be praised in a certain way and its only when you praise Him like this that you will truly experience the wonders of his praise. Are you ready to magnify the Lord in this manner?
Today, we shall be looking at some other ways God wants us to be praise Him:
- In an unusual manner. He wants to be praised in an uncommon way. He expects you to offer praises to Him like you have never done before. He wants you to take your praise to a higher dimension. When you praise Him in an extraordinary manner, you will experience His extraordinary grace and visitation (John 12:3; 2 Sam.6:13-14, 20).
- Regardless of our moods or feelings. Our feelings or environment are not supposed to determine our praise but we ought to be in control of our praise. This is why God expects us to praise Him regardless of how we feel. It’s not that our feelings don’t count; faith is superior to our feelings and will never allow you to be put to shame (Habakkuk 3:17-19).
- As the Holy Spirit inspires you. This is what I call Spirit-Inspired Praise and this has happened a couple of times in my life and in the Scriptures with testimonies to the reality of God’s faithfulness. It’s time to yield to the Spirit in your praise (Rom.8:14; Acts 16:25).
- With a heart of gratitude i.e. with a thankful heart, not a prideful heart. Jehovah wants us to approach His presence not with an entitlement mentality but with a gracious mentality. Thankfulness should be the order of your Praise henceforth (Psalm 100:4).
Are you ready to praise God according to His word? I believe your answer is a “yes.” Therefore, I pray for you today that you might experience the wonder working power of praise in your life.
